Careers

Build the tutor every student deserves

9 people in Boston and around the US, working on one thing full time. Four roles open.

How we work

Four things we mean

Guide, never just tell

Every feature we ship is judged by whether it moved a student toward understanding or just handed over the answer. That constraint rules out a lot of things that would be easier to build, and it is the right constraint.

Say what is true, including the limits

We do not claim Tutorly is always right, because it is not. Being honest about the edges is what makes the rest believable, and it is also just how we would want to be spoken to.

Measure the session, do not trust the output

Every prompt change is run against sessions with known misconceptions before it ships. A step that gives away the answer is worse than a step that does nothing. Guidance without verification is the failure mode of this whole category.

Small team, real ownership

Nine people. You own an area, not a ticket queue, and you will talk to students and parents in your first fortnight. Equity is real and we explain the numbers rather than waving at them.

Send it straight to us

No cover letter. Tell us what you have built or shipped that is closest to this role and why teaching students to understand is interesting to you. We read every application and reply within five business days, either way.
