Changelog

What changed, and when

Written by the people who made the change. Fixes are listed with the same weight as features, because a fix is usually what somebody was waiting for.

Version 1.4

July 16, 2026

Understanding checks, and a recap that sticks

  • Every session can now end with a short recap: what you worked out, the key ideas in your own words, and one check question to be sure it stuck.
  • Tutorly now asks an understanding check before moving to the next piece, rather than assuming a right answer means it clicked.
  • Fixed a case where a student who typed the correct final answer early was congratulated before they had reasoned to it. Tutorly now asks them to show why first.

Version 1.3

May 30, 2026

Cleaner math, and progress across topics

  • Equations now render with KaTeX everywhere in a session, so a fraction looks like a fraction and an integral looks like an integral.
  • Student and Family plans now show progress across the topics you have worked on, so you can see where you are steady and where to go back.
  • Long or stuck exchanges now escalate to a stronger model automatically. The routing table on How the AI works is generated from the code.

Version 1.2

April 10, 2026

The Family plan, and a calm parent view

  • Added the Family plan: up to four student profiles on one bill.
  • Added the parent view, which shows topics and time for each student and never the content of a session, because a student's work is theirs.
  • Redirects for the student who just wants the answer are gentler now, and get back to the next small step faster.
